I accept that turning 80 has resulted in a brain cell deficit. I know I've posted on here about my Immigration mess-ups before. Here's another one AND a heart-warming solution.

We've all suffered problems with 90 Day reporting, particularly those who have been here before the on-line joy.

I get angry that despite have a year's 'Visa' + a multi-re-entry permit, if I dare go on a foreign holiday, I have to report in person to Pattaya soi 5 90 days after I return. So I dutifully filled in my TM47; made copies of various passport pages; ensured my TM30 was firmly stapled and set off. I am one of the lucky ones in that I have a car and a half-hour drive gets me to Jomtien, paid my 40 baht parking fee and joined the new streamlined queue dedicated to this one (more) hoop ex-pats are forced to endure. I was crestfallen when I got to the counter to learn that I had come too EARLY by several days and told to return nearer the end of the month.

Eventually my blood pressure returned to normal, and I accepted that though I was one of 'the good guys Thailand wants IN,' it was my fault. Then I heard about Manheerat visa agency
Soi Pattaya 13/2, Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand. I went in the following day to find a perfect Green Heaven. The only paper involved was my TM30 + a 100 baht note. Two days later it was done & dusted; my passport was returned in a smart plastic wallet with all my salient dates/details printed on the front. On both visits I was never in the office longer than 2 minutes. There were over a dozen smiling faces eager to please.

I think back to my visits to Immigration over the years, complete with a small forest of paper copies of 'necessary data (all of it already on the Immigration computer). It's a new Green beginning - no more parking fees; no more unnecessary paper.

Hi Mike, I totally agree with you. Ten years ago I was told by a friend to go to Cambodian Intra in Soi Buakhow. From then until now I've been problem free. I first came to Thailand 25 years ago, I was living in Bangkok so I had to visit the old immigration office in Soi Suan Plu. Believe me it was chaotic. Anyway I bought a condo in Naklua so now that's my registered address which enables me to use an agent in Pattaya.

I wish I had the choice.....three hour round trip every time I return and have to report in person for my 90 day report......one mistake and there's another three hour round trip.

I, too, find it maddening that you have to appear in person for the next 90-day every time you travel out of the country. My spouse and I like to travel so that means trekking down to Immigration instead of being able to use the on-line reporting. During covid, I used on-line all the time and it was so convenient.

Years ago, reporting in person was a breeze--I would show up with just my passport and be in and out quickly. I think one time they were calling my number and I was still walking in from the front desk stop where they issue you your number.

This last visit, what a difference. Instead of just a few people in the queue ahead of me, there were at least 40, and not enough seating. It was a very long wait. I wonder how many people who would normally be using on-line reporting were forced to be there in person because they took a trip somewhere.

I think I finally understand why my online 90 day reports are sometimes rejected, resulting in a personal visit. It's my bad. Yet to be tested.

I noticed if I go abroad, then the next 90 day online report will fail. If I do consecutive 90 day online reports without leaving Thailand it works.

My mistake has been failing to report to either Immigration or my local police station upon returning to my home Tambun.

I have Thai PR (29 years already) and therefore don't have to do any of this reporting.

That has nothing to do with it. Immigration will not approve an online TM47 for the first time after you leave Thailand and return. It is their policy. You must do it in person after returning from outside of Thailand.

And there's no "reporting to the police station." You need a TM30, whether that's done online or at immigration, the police will not be interested.

Great results but you added 1 hour of travel time. If I lived near the office or frequently passed the office, I would definitely do it. It would maybe save a few minutes even with the extra trip. Only providing the TM30 and passport is the big win IMO and no worries.

They should have a pickup and delivery service for ~400 baht. Or a delivery service because dropping off is easy enough while in town for other reasons.

I have been using an agent for a few years now, and it has dramatically improved my quality of life here. I don't want to have anything to do with immigration, and if by spending a little extra money it affords me the extreme pleasure of not doing so, then I am a happy camper.

Just say no to immigration visits.

That's a GREAT idea for a business in Bangkok as CW is so far off the beaten path. Would have to be at least B400 each way.

Maneerrat were charging 100 baht to report for you, but in the last year or so, they have increased the price to 200 baht. When did you do it? This might seem worthwhile vs doing it yourself, but I live 10km away from this office, and it requires I come in twice, once to drop off the passport and once to pick it up. It's a better option for me to go to the immigration office and complete it on the spot, and for free. I've never had to spend much time in there doing it myself.

I think you finally figured it out that it is just much easier and less stressful to hire an agent and let them take care of your immigration needs. I hired an agent many years ago and never do a 90 report or even worry about a deposit in my bank, paperwork or my yearly visa. The agent takes care of everything and just calls me when it is time to come with them to immigration for my picture inside the building. Done only once a year. TM 47 and TM30, I do not even remember what those forms are and I have been in Thailand for 21 years now. All legal and life is good.

Went back down to 100. I'll be in there later so I'll confirm for you then.

Well worth the money, just the sight of the queues in immigration snaking round everywhere puts me right off.

Been there this morning, still 100 baht.

It was 200 baht last time they did my report, about 6 months ago, and it's the reason why I swapped back to doing it myself. I know they used to have 2 prices, one for customers who did their extensions there (100) and one for walk-ins (200). Maybe they charged me the incorrect rate.

Been here 16 years and always done the extension myself, but now at 84 I'm finding the whole procedure tiresome. Mind giving some idea of the cost for an agent to do the extension and the 90 day reports?

About 10k but you supply a banking letter. You do well continuing until 84 although I think they go easy on the elders. I find chasing the kid in immigration exhausting nevertheless.

No it did go to 200 but they've dropped it back down to 100.

The first year is always more expensive but now I pay about 15,000 a year and I don't need to keep the requisite amount of money in the bank anymore. You can also do it directly at the immigration office but they usually charge double that.

It's such an easy and effortless process, and his improved my quality of life significantly. The 90-day report I can usually do myself online.

It is not quite as simple as that. The banks and branches' agents can use have changed. I now have 3 bank accounts due to the changes, and trying to find the best possible price. Most agents cannot use the Bangkok Bank now, but Cambodia Inter can for a higher price.

Due to the constantly changing landscape, Maneerat was suggesting checking with them several months before you need to do an extension to see which banks can be used. If your current bank cannot be used, you will have to open a different bank account and season it for 30 days. You'll get the extension a month early, but they won't do it if you have fewer than 30 days before your extension expires. I don't know why - probably an arranged with the bank.

Here's a heads-up for yellow bank account holders (Krungsri). Cambodia Inter will charge 12,500.
