May 20, 201412 yr Does anyone recall what the UK Immigration requirement is for housing space when applying for a Settlement Visa, specifically, is there a minimum square feet/meters per person that must be met? The context of this question is a friend who is considering returning to the UK with his Thai spouse and who owns a one bedroom apartment that measure 37.1 square meters, he's concerned that UK BA might have some sort of metric for space per person. He already owns the place and it's a great apartment, even if it is bijou and really doesn't want to have to trade up just to meet regulations. Thanks in advance.
May 20, 201412 yr I think your friend will be fine as it complies with the requirements, and sounds cosy. https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/maintenance-and-accommodation-entry-clearance-guidance https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/maintenance-and-accommodation-maa/maintenance-and-accommodation-maa--2 The second link is actually for armed services but I believe they're the same, as the first link directs you there. theoldgit
