O-A multi-entry visa

Featured Replies

Hi, I have bee given a O-A multi-entry visa from the consulate in Sydney. It has an "enter before" date of 5 May 2015. I presume I will be given a 12 months stay on arrival. Can I enter and leave as many times as I like before the "enter before" date without a reentry permit and will each new entry extend my stay? After the "enter before" can I get a reentry permit and reenter until 12 months after the last "enter before" arrival.

Where do I get the reentry permit and how much does it cost?

Thanks.

wrong reading...I need more sleep.

Up until May 5, 2015 you can leave and re-enter as many times as you want an get a one year permit to stay.

After then you will need to get a re-entry permit at immigration. A re-entry permit costs 1000 baht for a single and 3800 baht for a multiple. The re-entry permit w be valid up to your permit to stay date you got from your last entry.

You will need to make reports of staying longer than 90 days to immigration starting from the date you first enter the country.

but the clock for these is reset each time you re-enter the country and you have to report 90 days from that date. 90 day reports can be done by others on your behalf the re-entry permit or extentions cannot.

So can I get the re-entry permit at the airport as I am leaving or only from an immigration office away from the airport?

Thanks.

You can get a re-entry permit at either Bangkok airport.

But you can get them in advance at the immigration office where you are living. If you expect to make several trips out after your visa expires it would be best to a get multiple re-entry permit.

I think stating that reports are made for staying longer than 90 days covered that.

Thanks all for the replies. I think that clears that up for me.

Actually I have one more question. When should I get my extension of stay in all this?

During the last 30 days or your permit to stay from the last entry you do before the visa expired.
