Here we go. Another nice low cc bike from Yamaha

125 cc version of mt is on the way.

Same major components with yamaha r125 but it looks nice.

Looks like a big bike. Wonder if they will make 250 or 300 cc versions of Mt as well? it would be great if Yamaha do so as not many nice and naked low cc bikes around at 250 - 300 cc bracket.

I think will be built in India so most probably we will see it in Thailand.

and Hope one day, yamaha build one of the mt series or lets say any other big bike in Thailand too.

go forward Yamaha.

Wow, it looks like a real bike with the USD forks, swingarm, and box frame.

Props to Yamaha for not taking the easy/cheap way out.

I don't find it really attractive but its not ugly either, just...meh.

If it ends up being built in India, it will be overpriced here right?

Isn't that the issue with the Duke 125?

Not a bad looking bike, the red one reminds me a bit of the v-max.

But it does look a bit bulky and heavy for a 125. how many horse power? 15/20 if you're lucky i guess, this means the average souped up scooter will outaccelerate you at the trafficlight. Please yam/hon/kawa/suz bring back the 2 stroke engines for small displacement bikes!!! but i expect that will never happen :-(

  • 10 months later...

While the design will probably attract some attention in Thailand, the Indian made 125cc Yamaha MT125, in current version, will never be introduced in Thailand. Some people at Yamaha are studying the idea of a 150cc naked machine based on the YZF-R15... 125cc and Thailand is a lost project as performance will never speak to the general “target” market...
