Cable TV in your Condo ?

Featured Replies

Hi. A bit curious about Cable TV in Pattaya's condominiums:

What kind of cable TV contract do you have ?

- you signed a cable contract for your room with a provider ? (True, Sophon, ...)

- the Condo signed a cable contract with a provider for all rooms ?

- you have a satellite or Internet box access ?

- other ?

In the case of a Condo contract:

- do you pay it with common fees (mandatory ) or do you have choice to take/pay this service ?

- can you subscribe for another provider than the one chosen by the condo ?

In Center Condo there is a global contract with Sophon,

a monthly mandatory fee of 300 baht,

and no possibility to get another cable (but satellite ok)

Thanks

When I had a condo at Jomtien Beach Condominium, originally there was small charge but then it was included in the maintenance fee, but I am unsure who the supplier was.

When they included it in the maintenance fees they did not go up, I think the thing is that when a Condominium enters into a contract with a service provider they pay a discounted fee based on the number of units, not how many units are connected each month which means many empty or where condo units were in arrears meant they were being cut off with no income so others were paying more and the condominium could not budget because they would not know how many would be connected month to month, not forget the labour involved in sending a technician to disconnect and reconnect.
