Ex-Thai PM Yingluck reports to coup makers

well she has more balls than thaksin, did not expect here to show but maybe she is starting to realize she wants to live in Thailand without all the crap her brother has caused

Indeed. I have to admit, I though she would do a runner to Dubai. But as you stated, perhaps she would like to continue to live in Thailand. So I do give her credit for having the guts to stick around and face the music, something her brother would never do.

Perhaps now she can cut the strings to Dubai completely, and turn State's evidence.

Maybe she just missed the plane smile.png

She was going to escape by helicopter last night, but none of them can fly after dark.

Put the Shins in a chaingang and make them clean up the mess on Utthayan Road they caused. In fact, do that for both groups. Let them clean up their literal messes personally.

After they clean up the mess, throw YL in jail where she belong before she flee the country and join the mastermind in Dubai, get this two Shins behind bars for good so Thailand can moving forward without redshirt mob sponsored by Thaksin. coffee1.gif

Judging from the comments from all sides, I guess now is a good time to open my new Yingluck girly bar, where all the girls are made up to look like her in different outfits. Like her or loathe her, everyone wants to <deleted> her one way or another.

Not everyone wants the middle-aged matron look.

Credit must be given where credit is due. She showed up, which is something her brother could learn a thing or two about.

Why wouldn't she show up.

The rest of the world is condemning Thailand for not being a democracy. This is a coup for her and it will give her credibility.

Topcat4posts: Thailand has not been a democracy for a few years. Thaksin hijacked the word democracy in a stylish attempt to undermine Abhisit and his party. The reds, Thaksin, Chalerm, Yinkluck and co have never been democrats: indeed the ex-leader of the reds and her husband Weng were (are?) communists. You can look up their history. Thaksin himself is an autocrat - a very rich one. If you have this kind of wealth you can pay PR agencies around the world to spin your lie. Tony Blair realised he was dealing with a bunch of idiots which is why he lectured them and went back to farang land after the reds tried to manipulate his support. Robert Amsterdam, that guru of fake human rights PR and Human Rights Watch (another fake human rights org) have supported Thaksin's endeavors to lie to the world. It doesn't help when sycophants such as the BBC's Jonathan Head constantly spin Thaksin's lies into his news reports. Come on TopCat. Read the history, taste the flavour and understand what's going on here. This coup is necessary and benevolent. They will continue to uncover the real story, finding the reds' caches of weapons, see how much Yingluck and co stole from the people of Thailand.

The elitists have stolen nothing from the poor the past 100 years?

Free speech?

Land?

Human rights?

The Chiang Mai Elite she represents have indeed stole much.

the t

Inspite of all the remarks about her here. She DID show up. I must say against all odds. I guess Prayuth has everyone rounded up right now. Now it is time to sit them down. Give them a harsh speech. Close the doors and for the good of the country, work out the differences, find common ground. He surely has a captive audience now!!!!

And the monkey is the right for that who the old foul think he is they should end his days so the next general know his place

And for the rest of all you ignorents it does not matter what we think the most of all Thais wil vote for taksin same like every time you can look the red 100 times more then yellow but for me I don't mind but the other yellow monkey sut want to deport Thais from Thailand and many other illigal things that's gonna destroy the country and I think he don't even know

Better let the Thais get what the want election and then we see

I am somewhat surprised she did not blast out of here on a private jet the day martial law

was declared. So either she could not, or she thinks she will be able to walk away from

the mess she created.....

Maybe a little bit of both.

Just hope for the other members in custody that Chalerm isn't the first one to drop his soap in the showers.... cheesy.gif

Just to make things a bit less HEAVY.... giggle.gif

LOL, I got a good laugh out of that.

But I think Chalerm would be pretty safe. After all, you would have to be a pretty sick #$%@ to want the likes of Chalerm. cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

I think the Coup was the best idea in the difficult situation of political impass . There needs to be a very broad minded and fair rewriting of the constitution acceptable to all sides . A government must have authority to defend itself , there should not be a body that can cut the ground from under its feet . There must be an end to a right to demonstrate , hold a country to ransom to bring down the government . My guess is that reforms as perceived by PDRC would have in all probability exacerbated the situation . Yes , there are need for reforms , but there is a need for ordinary citizens to uphold and respect the law . Corruption that people complain of is the way of life of the whole Thai society almost without exception , likewise political parties are equally balanced in that respect .

Come on you TV members! You can do better than this!

Surely she deserves the death penalty. Everyone one of you knows she is corrupt - indeed, you all people have first-hand evidence that she is guilty and only capital punishment will do. While we are at it, surely all the redshirts deserve capital punishment. Surely? You people know best.

Ride naked across Bangkok like Godiva.

RT@pakhead: Looks like Yingluck and her circle hv now been separated and taken to different military camps around the country.

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/728385-thailand-live-friday-23-may-2014/?p=7872458

What does this mean ? This sounds like Yingluck is arrested ?

I think they prefer to say, detained.

Sounds like someone wants some answers.

But there are reports on this forum that she arrived at the army HQ around noon and left after 25 minutes.

There are billions of USD missing from the public pursue. Whoever is in charge of coup would be mad to let them go before they established what happened to the money. We're talking serious money here, at least 10 billion USD is unaccounted for. All those cheating schemes rice, computer tablets, water, cars etc...etc...They've got to get to the bottom of it.

Richard Barrow simply re-tweeted a tweet and photograph put out on Twitter by this Thai organisation http://www.prbangkok.com/ I have no idea who they are or what they do I have not translated their website. The number 5,000 was not invented by anyone posting here. This link will show you the tweet https://twitter.com/pr_bangkok and the photo that was originally put out.

Now I understand why people listening to their GPSs, drive off bridges. It's okay to use your common sense, people!

If there were 5,000 people cleaning Rajadamnerm, it would have been almost as crowded as one of Suthep's rallies.
I don’t get it – I try to be helpful by giving the links posters here asked for and you give a facetious reply.
If you’re saying you can’t believe the numbers then don’t have a go at me, take it up with the military Junta and the Bangkok Metropolitan Council – they’re the ones who issued or authorised the information.

OK, this thread is now 10 pages long, and it gives little clue of just what's going on with all those reported/detained.

Midway thru the 10-pages of posts, there was a single Twitter post from a source I don't recognize saying that the PT and Dem leaders had been released, but the PCAD and UDD leaders were being held. And then nothing further about that anywhere in the subsequent posts.

Can anyone point to any reasonable credible info source about just what's become of these folks??

BTW, through all these pages, I don't think I've also seen anything from the Army saying just what exactly was being done with or said to all this politicians once they reported to the Army. Be kind of nice to know what marching orders were delivered.

Did they arrest her?

Sent from my GT-S5310 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Arrest her for what ? Being the democratically elected Prime Minister of Thailand ?

You are clearly leading a shelterd life where all news in the last year or so is filtered out. Well done you, it no doubt bodes for a much less anxious life, albeit ill informed.clap2.gif

All this make you anxious ?? Strange really considering that as a foreigner you have absolutely no say these matters, this is probably why you are so gung ho about the overthrowing of a democratically elected government, it's a shame that persons like yourself see no wrong in that the people of Thailand seemingly have no say in who governs their country.. now, what's the word for that again..?

totster smile.png

I see the thailand your talking about is not the same Thailand that I have been living in for the last 6 years

democratically elected government

that settles it, this is not the same Thailand I am in

If you want to hear what the people have to say, get off your keyboard and go out into the streets

I guess this was part of the message they received:

Posted Today, 12:31

Thai junta bans former leaders from leaving country

BANGKOK, May 23, 2014 (AFP) - Thailand's army said on Friday that 155 prominent figures, including ousted government leaders, were banned from leaving the country without permission following a military coup.

They include former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra and several relatives.

And from the main today's news thread, just now:

RT@Tulip_Oum: Yingluck and the former cabinet that reported to the military today, all detained and taken to "safe house" (via @WassanaNanuam )

I just hope it's not one of those "safe" houses where the fake police will try to extort money from them in exchange for not accusing them of shoplifting from AOT.
