Will the curfew effect air travel from Pattaya to Bangkok airport when one has a flight out during the night or early morning? Is any road traffic allowed on the roads between 10pm and 5 am if on the way to or from the airport?

Gets complicated and no one to ask.

Thanks for thoughtful answers.

If you have proof of travel you are allowed out during the curfew.

Yes no problems at all . keep your travel documents with you in the car. If your plane depart in the middle of the night just try to be there 3 hours before departure just to be safe.

Is it possible to get a taxi at 22:00 from Bkk as I am flying out at 2 am and rather not sit around the airport waiting hours to check in.

Edited by brianinbangkok

brianinbangkok asked about taxis after 22:00:

There are taxis on the road, even after 22:00, but I can't tell if they are free or with passenger. And they are certainly not as many as normally. I have seen taxis as late as 03:00 on the road.

If you stay at a hotel, let the reception get you a taxi. They might have a taxi driver's phone number to call. And a 100 Baht extra is still better than missing your flight.

Just read on TV that curfew is now from midnight to 4am no problem then
