International Schools - Is English Lit on the curriculum?

I was wondering if English Literature is on the menu at International Schools in Thailand?

If not, should it be and what type of literature would you want for your child?

I ask because I read today that three American books, To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men plus Arther Miller's play The Crucible have been taken off the British GCSE syllabus, with more emphasis being placed on writers such as Charles Dickens, Jane Austen etc.

Makes sense doesn't it? After all they were great English writers. wink.png

The 'English' in 'English Literature' refers to the language, not the nationality.

I agree as in......" Lennie ain’t mean…he’s jes like a kid."
