Me and my girlfriend are in the process of starting our bussines in Thailand, we bought an accommodation bussiness and are in the process of building, we made our limited company and have all the paperwork in order. The next step will be obtaining our non-immigrant B visa, or bussiness visa, we have a paper showing all the required paperwork and according to our contact person we have all the documents except something called 'Company later tax income statement' and 'Company's later balance sheet'. Does anyone know what these are and how we can get them, is it necessary to run your company for 6 months first so you will have your first income tax paperwork, cos this would mean we have to let someone else run our bussines for 6 months and come on a tourist visa ourselves, which would be a real pain in the **

Any info would be appreciated, also does anybody know what we have to fill in on the visa form for obtaining a multiple entry visa, valid for one year?

Some info about applying for the work permit would aslo be appreciated, since we read online that you can get only one working permit per 2 million bath registered in your company.

Thank you

Where will you be applying for the non-B visa? That can make all the difference in which documents you need.

For the WP you will also need to take into account the required number of Thai employees.

If you are applying for the non-b visa at any nearby embassy or consulate you will need a letter of approval for a work permit application to get the visa.

If you are applying somewhere other than near here you should try to get a multiple entry non-b visa because you will one for at least the first year of your new business because you will not qualify for an extension of stay at immigration until you have one year of tax records.

You need 2 million baht of registered capital and 4 Thai employees for each work permit application.

We will apply for the visa in Vientiane, Laos. I read on their website that they give the Non-immigrant B visa for multiple entries, or has this changed? During our last visit to the Vientiane immigragtion they gave us a list of the required documents. One of them was a letter of approval from the ministery of labour, we guess that's the one you're talking about, but would this mean we have to start our WP application before we go to Laos?

Our company is registered for 2 million bath, but we would like to both work in the business, would it be possible to raise the registered money to 4 million bath now? And the 4 Thais, do they really have to be employed, our can we just give them 4 names, because we are not planning to work with staff at the moment, and I can imagine we are not the first farrang running our business without staff.

Thank you for your help!

You have to have the work application done before you can make the application a single entry B visa. I have seen no reports of Vientiane issuing multiple entry B visas. You will probably will have to go to Penang to get the multiple entry visa after you have work permit valid for at least 9 months.

You can change the registered capital of the company to 4 million baht.

Thai Workers need to be real people with proof provided of Social Security and Tax Returns, even if employees individual income tax liability is zero.

In some areas minimum wages are also enforced like Phuket at 300 THB per day
