We are planning to go down below next month. I am confused by the visa situation though. We last went two years ago and visas were available by phone from the emabssy in Sathorn for nothing. Now it would appear that there is a cost involved - nominal so that isn't a problem. I have tried to phone the embassy but frankly have better things to do with my time than waiting for someone to answer.

So, do any of you out there know the answer? Are the visas free still and are they available by phone. We are a British family with UK passports so nothing too complicated.
