How to show the WK in a bar and what is the cost of a license?

Featured Replies

We hear different sounds, the bars who want to show the games should have to pay 30.000 or 50.000 Baht for a license, about 15 inspectors would be on the road to catch bars showing it.

We have a slingbox in Belgium and can see the games on a legal Belgian way but is this OK with thai laws?

Are these thai wispers true or not or is it a new way of extorsion?

To be honnest, who is interested in Honduras - Ecuador, Japan - Greece, Colombia - Cote d'Ivoire? no-one.

So there will be maybe 10 games that attract customers, is about 3000 B per game, with customers who drink 2 drinks during the game, it is inpossible to get our money out of it.

If the wispers are true, we will not show it, if it is not true, we can show all the games with Dutch commentry.

Can someone give me the correct regulation please?

22 will be aired free, which ones? those that I indicated?

For the others we would have to pay.

That is a real scandall, if it would be 5000 B, ok, but not 30 or 50 grand, this is rediculess

RS satellite own the right to broadcast the WK in Thailand.

Suggest you contact them about price package for your enterprise.

I saw a copy of a printed notification on another board where it stated that for bars it is 50,000 Bht. For bars that have a hotel or guest house attached it is 100,000 Bht

The site of RS Satelite is only in Thai.

WK? World Cup?

The site of RS Satelite is only in Thai.

Get a Thai to read it to you then. Easy enough!

As far as I'm aware RS have the rights to the games .. and even IF they show the games on free to air that is just for households NOT businesses. But they may well change the fees. The court case is next week.

Your bar should have at least 51% Thai shareholders, let them read it.

I imagine citizens of Honduras, Ecuador, Japan, Greece, Columbia, and Cote d'Ivoire are interested, as well as people who just love the game.

Come on the only ones interested in Greece are debt collectors biggrin.png

Just teasing. Dont worry you can laugh at me as the Netherlands got a real bad team and will be utterly destroyed this time.

No offence taken, although we are paying our loans back and will be paying for many, many years to come.

As about the Greek team.........who knows.......as I said on another thread......The Gods of Olympus, look after us as they did in 2004 when we got the European Cup.thumbsup.gif
