I know buses do run north and south east and west.I wouldn't doubt you'll get there.But maybe not just one bus.Ya might have to transfer buses at some point.

I recall doing Ubon to Phitsanalouk a few years ago and that was daily. I know there is an Udon bus also and I would think it was daily.

There is definitely a bus between Khon Kean & Ubon via Roi Et. Obviously then a short hop up Udon.

Call the Transport Company info line or Ubon bus station to get exact times.
