"Umm, what?" I said to the Cambodian border guard and immigration officer. "What?"

""You cannot go with all these stamps", rferring and pointingto my M-type Tha9 visas; "Thai say 'no!', talk Thai!".

I had no visa, turned around and approached Thai immigration - much to my concern, but what choice did I have?

They gave me a 90-day tourist stamp and told me to report to Wattanna in the next 72 hours. If I didn't that I'd be hunted. And I thhink I am blacklisted under the current junta.

I am a published author and journalist. have contacted CPJseeking help, my embassy says to show uo and they will honor amnesty treaties guaranteeing me saf epassage.\

Still, I float.

I assume mean you have a multiple entry non immigrant visa of some kind. Was it still valid for entry. What class do you have O, ED or another type.

There is no 90 day tourist stamp. You seem to of gotten a 90 entry from your visa. Or are you from a country that gets a 90 visa exempt entry due to a bilateral agreement with Thailand.

The reporting to immigration sounds like a bit of bluster from the officer. Did they put any other stamps in your passport besides the entry/permit to stay stamp.

thai immigration telling cambobia border guard that farang cannot enter cambodia?

did this border guard have a uniform on or did he just have a tout dog tag around his neck?

presumably you exit stamped through thai immigration and they said nothing.

cardinal rule on that border is dont not under any circumstances talk to or listen to ANYONE who doesnt have the official uniforms on. dark brown for thai, light brown for cambo.

it is full of scam artist and cheaters under many disguises.
