JSixpack
Tried this supposedly optimized variant of Firefox a year ago and wasn't impressed. But it's come far and now I really like it. Noticeably faster and definitely lots more stable than Firefox for me, though it doesn't use less memory. Has portable, 64-bit and Linux versions (not Mac). And, for you geeks, there's a third-party build optimized for modern AVX-capable processors you might wanna try. Keep in mind the 64-bit must also use 64-bit extensions, far fewer available. Has a migration tool from Firefox or you might just copy over your profile if you know how to do that. Almost all Firefox extensions are compatible. Interface is pre-Firefox v. 29. Interesting particular extension for tweakers: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pale-moon-commander/. Anyway, Pale Moon's now my browser of choice. Give it a spin if you're running a relatively modern computer (not an old P3), unless you're just happy w/ your current Firefox. http://www.palemoon.org/ Edited June 9, 2014 by JSixpack
