Which code?

The pin code some people turn on when starting up the iPad, or

the apple account user code used when installing apps?

If the pin code, can't access the iPad, then you'll need to use a PC or MAC to do a restore (as stated in the first response).

If you forgot the apple account user code then you should be able to request an account reset (usually this requires a PC or MAC running iTunes)
