ljerams
Sorry but I deleted this information by accident. Hence, I am looking for the transport costs from Bangkok and guesthouses for a visa trip to Savannakhet. I am married to a Thai lady but slipped up on the money required for a few days. ( a very small amount this month only). It will be corrected automatically next week but I am not sure if my application at Bangkok for a one year extension.will get rejected. All advice greatly appreciated. Edited June 16, 2014 by ljerams

ubonjoe
I assume you mean that your account balance dropped below 400k baht during the 60 day requirement. You could apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife and then apply for the one year after the money has been at 400k baht for 60 days. ljerams
Yes, it dropped by less than Baht 1000 this week. My mistake. For the last six months the funds have always been sufficient. I understand the Immigration don't allow any shortfall but I am not really sure. Edited June 16, 2014 by ljerams
ubonjoe
Any amount below 400k baht will not be accepted. The 60 day extension should give you enough time to have the 400k baht balance for 60 days.
ljerams
Is it not 3 calender months for renewals? and if so a 60 day extension would not be enough. Edited June 16, 2014 by ljerams
ubonjoe
Is it not 3 calender months for renewals? and if so a 60 day extension would not be enough. For extensions of stay based upon marriage is 60 days for every extension. It is 90 days for those based upon retirement after the first one.
