Hospitals in pattaya

Featured Replies

I may need to go to the hospital but have limited funds are there any government hospitals here or private hospitals which are reasonably priced.

These are public hospitals which (AFAIK) have higher prices for foreigners but are much cheaper than private hospitals..

I have never needed hospital treatment here in Thailand but I have visited each of these hospitals numerous times when friends and family have been treated there.

Facilities seem quite good. Many of the doctors/surgeons also work at the more expensive places (e.g.- BPH) but, as you might expect, wards and waiting rooms are quite crowded.

Also, not so many staff speak English.

Thanks man appreciate that

Don't mean to pry, but what you are having done could be a major consideration. Some places are better than others for certain procedures. A trip to Bangkok might even be the best route.

I know it's a bit of a drive, but I've been going to Phyathai Hospital in Sri Racha. They have a guy there named Gavin who is great at helping things to "smoothly". Prices are pretty good also.

Just completed 2 days in BHP for a fever & associated disease that caused it, the total cost was 48,000 with nothing except medicines administered & the usual hospital care.

I think the cost was excessive for the treatment but I guess what price do you put on your health.

Cheers

I have been having some pain in my arm for the last few days, never had it before and not sure what it is, could be a little problem like a gout attack(never had it before in arm but apparently it can attack the arm) it could be a trapped nerve or it could be something more sinister, the first 2 I will just grin and bare it but if it gets alot worse them I'll go to the hospital, I'm not really a hospital man so is have to be really worried to go especially as like the person above wrote they normally just give you a bit if TLC, few tablets and a big old bill.

This could be beyond the ability of some of the smaller hospitals to analyze. I'd try Phyathai. Unless you speak Thai, or have a Thai partner, getting around some of the government hospitals will be tough. Heck, they are though for Thais also! LOL

Getting good medical care here is hit and miss....

if you have transport and a thai speaker ,the Queen Suirikit navy hospital in Satahip is very good.and far cheaper.

Never got round to having it done but I got quotes for a vasectomy a year or so back from Phyathai in Si Racha 25000 and Pattaya Memorial 9000 so I wonder just how good Phyathai prices actually are. I have had a couple of operations at the Memorial in the past and been happy with the results but know that prices have gone up considerably in the past few years, may still be worth checking though.

I'm only having dental work done there right now. But a lot! I've priced this out against at least 5 other places. Not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. Nobody in Pattaya could touch them....though I didn't contact any smaller places as my problems require a few specialists to sort things out. Lucky me....

I have also read good things about Pattaya Memorial. What I like about Phyathai is Gavin. He's a pleasure to work with and right on top of things. And speaks English...well...sort of....5555555555
