Internet in condo:which provider?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of subscribing to broadband. From your experience, which one should I go with?

Factors:

- speed

- reliability

- minimal fees for suspending/resuming the service (I'll suspend the service when away for several months)

TIA

Your location will likely narrow your choices; I have had very good luck with BTV out of Naklua.

Tnx. I'm in Jomtien.

Didn't we do this last week?

I didnt.

Mine in Jomtien is 3BB. 10 MB for 630 baht per month. Availability is 99.98% of the time.

No complaints.

Your choice will probably be largely influenced by what is and isn't available in your building. Check with the building office and if you want advice from other posters you should indicate which building it is.

For general reliability cable beats ADSL hands down, especially if you are in a building with fibre.

You may find that the unlimited wifi packages from suppliers like True are suitable, especially with your requirement for discontinuing the service from time to time.

You need to be much more specific about your needs and situation.

Just the opposite experience, 3BB sucks - are changing to True !

As already mentioned depending on the building your in will limit your options, I use Sophon cable, not the cheapest or the fastest (they are upgrading) but 100% reliable, any problems the techs will be there very fast.

Im in vt2. Seems like residents can choose whatever provider they feel like.

I am in VT2 and use 3BB .... 900baht for 15mb ... goes down occasionally but a phone call normally sorts that in a short while.

I'm also in VT2 and use 3bb 15mb 962 Baht (incl Tax). I'm satisfied with it. And yes, in VT2 you can choose whatever you want, but Fiber Optic.

Same. 3bb is ok.
