How much time to allow at Suwanaphum before flight (TG to HK)

Featured Replies

My flight is at 12:50 with TG to HK, then Air Canada to Van then Victoria. What time should I arrive at Suwanaphum? Is two hours before enough? I always get through quick then sit around inside for a couple hours.

2 hours has always worked out great

Better too-early than too-late, IMO.

TG often fly's a 380 BKK-HKG which can mean VERY long lines at check-in. Unless you are a Thai or Star Gold or higher member and can check in through the Biz. class line, I would leave at least 2 1/2 hours.

Remember also that it can be a very long walk to the gate after clearing security and Passport Control.

thx, TG is an A330.

I usually give it 3 to 4 hours to be comfortable. Even then there can be long queues, both check-in and again Immigration.

Ditto

1.5 hours is enough if you fly business and get the VIP ticket through security and immigration (1.5 hours = 30 min checkin / security / immigration + 30 min walk to gate + 30 min boarding before push-back).

If you fly economy, you need at least +1 hour for checkin / security / immigration, since there might be a hundreds of passengers for other flights waiting in the queue for security and immigration, depending on the time of flight. That is the one thing you can't control.

As others said: better safe than sorry
