sua yai Posted June 22, 2006 Share Posted June 22, 2006 There is one at Singkhon, just a few kms south of the main crossroads that lead to Prachuap itself. It's via a new road that leads off to the right and is well signposted. Havn't been there myself, but I hear that it's for Thais and Burmese only. You can't cross the border. I think you can get extensions, but that can be done in HH now. Apparantly, the Thai side is fairly developed, but there's nothing on the Burmese side other than a dirt track and jungle. EVO Posted June 22, 2006 Share Posted June 22, 2006 Have used Singkhon many times, to extend my visa before the HH immigration branch opened, its not a comfortable place! They were planning on opening the border for foreigners, but last i heard of that was over a year ago. Its still just for the Thais and the Burmese logging trucks.
