Problems With Msn Messenger

Featured Replies

I have known of this problem for a while. But it hasnt really bothered me too much. I want to upgrade my messenger service. I have downloaded the new messenger and installed but keep getting problems. When i try to sign in i get and Error Code: 80072ee6. Then when i try to troubleshoot. It checks everything and i get your proxy appears to be offline or your proxy settings are invalid. Plaese review your proxy settings in Windows Live Messenger options. I am not too stressed about all of this. But the wife wants to use the PC when i am not home. So what can i do? An easy step by step process would be good. Thanks.

My advice is download a program named Trillian, you log on to MSN, Yahoo,Aim and icq using this and seems to cure most sign in problems, the program is free and you use your existing sign in name and password

No worries. Seem to have sorted the problem. I uninstalled an old old version of Messenger(using another program) and installed the newest version and things seem to be going ok.

I'm a Mac user and have a similar problem with Microsoft Messenger. My reg. Hotmail address is from german and if I want to sign in direct from Messenger, I never can since months. I also don't understand it.

I sign in direct from the browser in Thai Hotmail and it works :o .
