In kl Malaysia was in a Chinese restaurants , eating meals very fat cooked, no tissue on the table

In Europe people learn in tourism school after you bring the menu card and you have to wait give people time to order

In Asia restaurant stuff monitoring you

Stands near you , and often force you to order quickly, and not give you time to order !

In my case stuff in Malaysia never let me unattended !

And something happens who no one can imagine here, the woman walk all the time around my table !

Suddenly withouth further notice, a hand come behind and clean my moth!

That's a real good service!

Proberbly better then the bad side effects of westerns , that only stay around there home, and mark the boarders of there land with a red colored line!

When my husband first come to Bangkok, he really had a hard time dealing with the crowd. He will be very upset if someone stand close to him in an elevator. He would use escalator instead. It took him few months to feel comfortable in a subway or sky train.

Guess it will take time to adjust.

I do find depth perception and speed perception is very poor. As far as personal space is concerned you ain't seen nothing until you've been to China. 50 people trying to get into an elevator and they wonder why it won't move.

And the damn ignorant a just refuse to wait for you to come out first aye!

It's times like that when I live being a 6'2" farang... Chaaarrrrge!

Like ten pin bowling :)

Seems like you are a village curiosity both on Thai visa and real life sandman.

He is fast becoming a TV superstar.

Give him a forum

But then we'd have to give those pesky chaps from over the pond a forum.

Well, guys, after studying Sandman's more recent topics, I'm going to break with the pack.

His first language is English. And he's having a hell of a laugh.

Just quietly, you're not Robinson Crusoe on that thought ... whistling.gif

If he's having a hell of a laugh, then so am I. Keep posting, sandman, coz you're in line for the Edith Clampton (Mrs) Award for quirky, entertaining correspondence.
