Best beginner's DSLR Kit for around 20K?

Personally I reckon this thread has digressed from helping the OP

to hashing out which canera is better & which one sucks. Apols if

anybody is offended however the OP asked a relatively simple

question and we're all guilty of pushing our own preferences.

Myself included. As FracturedRabbit stated...let her go into the

camera shop, have a look and select the one SHE wants...not

what we reckon she should have. I apologise for harping Nikon

but that's what I know...Nikons. No matter what she selects;

DSLR, Mirrorless, trendy point & shoot...it will be her choice

in the end.

Use what YOU like & be out having fun.

Couldn't agree more and I should acknowledge FR's first post where he suggested the same thing.

IMHO, My apologies for this turning into somewhat of a piiissssing contest, although I believe I speak for all these people, the advise given here was to help you try and make decision, having said that, it's an absolute minefield of gear out there & there are literally hundreds of good choices out there.

Let us know how you went and what you end up with.

I agree that this thread has run its course

The OP has had several good answers to consider and I wish him, and his daughter well with the purchase

In the meantime we are too way off course and the thread is now closed
