Fast THAI RETIREMENT VISA Option?

Featured Replies

Outfit in Pattaya states they can get me a retirement Visa in one day and they cover the financial requirements in doing this. Cost is 18000 bht.

Sounds too good. Name is Express Visa. Anyone heard of them or know of any problems with this service??

Many offering this service from 12,000 to 16,000, i have been quoted.

That would be illegal and you could find yourself in all sorts of trouble.

Been going on for many years, i have never heard of anybody getting into trouble, but with the new junta in operation anything is possible, even a bunch of flowers

Most things are possible - allegedly - and it's not just confined to one particular company either. It's not easy for newcomers to get this type of visa. You will find that it has become a " Catch 22 " type situation with the scenario of : Opening of a local bank account first / visa first / work permit first. It's silly really because the majority of retirees do not want a Work Permit and have no desire to work. In IMO, it's better to get somebody to take the hassle away before you end up in a spin !

I know of one, he was asked to provide the source of the 800,000 Thb. They wanted proof that it came from outside of Thailand. He couldn't and didn't get the extension.

Proof of the money coming from abroad is only asked for when you do a conversion from a toruist visa or visa exempt entry to a non-immirgant visa. Otherwise it is not asked for, as it is not in the rules.

Those ads are not from a sponsor of this forum. They are from Google and TV has no control over them..

^ I don't think they can (as they are controlled by Google), but I agree it's questionable having such ads on the forum.

Perhaps someone from TV should tell Google that they are advertising illegal services then.
