Until recently have survived Thailand on a marriage extension, but have now gone our separate ways. She got the money and I got the baby! Understand I now need Dependents extension, but can find little comment on same. Does anyone have recent application experience or general advice on requirements, etc. Very grateful for any informed comment.

You can apply for an extension based upon being the parent of Thai child. You would need a divorce decree giving you custody your child.

The financial requirements are the same as marriage.

I suggest you contact your local immigration office to find out what more they require.

OK, thanks again. Time my biggest enemy and the local intimidation office not the most helpful, but realise not a common request so will give it a shot.

also if the child is at school you will need a letter from the school confirming that the child attends there
