Things you might like but don't operate in Thailand.

1-The principle of it does NOT fly here, something to do with the culture.

Abiding by principle is often akin to shooting myself in the foot, happened many times.

2-Honest and integrity are not here, it operates on another level.

People say what they think you want to hear or something like that.

Again something to do with the culture or living IN and FOR the moment.

3-Ths customer is king, HA!

More like if you spend money here, we are doing YOU a favor.

Old school or simply a pecking order, i have and you want.

4-Mind your own business is NOT part of the culture, much more of a collective culture.

5-Keeping time and appointments.

In this regard, It's a different world here a good deal of the 'time.'

Expect too early or too late or no shows without a call to cancel.

6-All of the above is totally acceptable most of the time and happens too often to count.

7-Do Thais ever save their money or is it a completely small majority?

Maybe this one is none of my business but 'mai mee satang' is a mantra i hear all too often.

In all fairness there MUST be upsides to all of this stuff

Your turn:

(please behave yourselves, thanks)
