My son just got a small parcel from Australia via registered mail. It was just a few toys and comic books. The post office (I assume it was them) actually opened the parcel to see what was in it and calculated a tax of 600 baht! Have tax rules changed for goods sen into the country? This is the first time I have to pay tax on a kids birthday presents. The tax was more than the value of the goods! That's the last time I get anything sent into this country.
