Girl friend attacked outside Central Plaza, Bangna

Featured Replies

My girl friend was at Central Plaza Bangna at approx. 10.00 am Sunday, June 29 waiting for a Srinakarin Road bus when approached by a woman asking if another bus stopped at same point.

She touched my girl friends arm & rubbed it, shortly afterwards another woman approached as my girl friend began to feel woozy. They grabbed her & whisked her into a cab, when she believes she passed out.

When my girlfriend came to she was staggering around at Tesco, Bangpli, minus several items of jewellery, handbag with cash & phone. Police came & took her to police station where she completed normal crime reporting procedures.

The police advised this is a common occurrence in the area & there have been many similar instances reported. Seem to be a well organised group & unafraid to attack at a busy centre in broad daylight.

No information was given as to what drug was used to induce wooziness via rubbing onto arm.

Has anyone had or aware of a similar experience?

Able to shed any light on possible type of drug used?

Sounds utterly bizarre....I know of no drug that can induce unconsciousness by rubbing against your arm.

A suspicious person might think the gf made it all up.

(Has she asked you to buy her a new phone or gold?)

Did the police talk to you in English, or did the gf say it was common later?

Heard this bizarre tale before, it seems to come around every so often but nothing to support it, no "real" evidence or news reports etc confirming it.

I suggest that it is just another urban myth and if it can be substantiated I will re-open the thread no problem but failing that it will remain closed.

I will leave it on view for others to read if they wish.
