Which Visa and Air Tickets

Featured Replies

Hi.

I am a danish man on early retirement. Until now I expected to go to Hua Hin for 3 months from end of October.

But now I got the posibility to go for nearly 5 months. But what Visa's can I get and what Air tickets to book?

As I se one posibility is a 60 days visa, a 30 days extension, a VISA run for an another 60 day to get nearly 5 month.

I am not sure if you still call it a VISA Run if I get a multible entry VISA?

But in this case is it then best to get the extension on the first of last 60 days?

But I am sure you have better ideas.

For flights ticket can I buy one single from Denmark to Bangkok. And an another single from Bangkok and back to Denmark nearly 5 months later.

But do I need to book one out of Thailand after the first 60 or 90 days?

I read some book one cheap for Singapore?

Is one for Singapore the way to do it, or can I book one to use for the VISA run?

Looking forward to your advices.

Regards Carsten.

A 2 entry tourist visa would be the best choice. Each entry would give you 60 day that you can extend for 30 days.

You will not need a onward or return ticket to travel to Thailand if you have a visa.. The embassy might want one though when you apply for the visa.

Thanks for you answer.

I expect that I have to leave Thailand between the two tourist visas. Where is it easiest/cheapest to go from Hua Hin?
And for long do I need to be out of Thailand?

But when I look on the priselist for Visas will it cost 2 x Tourist Visa entries + 1 x Extension.
When I add a trip out of Thailand will it be cheaper with a Non-immigrant visa “O-A” (Long Stay)
Do you think that will be posieble for a 63 years old early retired man?

Regards Carsten.

A OA visa would cost 5000 baht plus the cost associated with the getting the paperwork required to get it at the embassy. The OA visa would give you multiple one year entries for a year and if you do an entry just before it expires you can get another one year entry and get a re-entry permit that would keep it valid giving you a total fo almost 2 years of stay with it.

The nearest border crossing to Hua Hin is in Kanchanaburi for entering Myanmar.

Hi.

Read about Kanchanaburi and the cost of a Myanmar VISA on the Internet. Don't think a OA Visa will be more expensive than 2 entry tourist VISA etc.

In Denmark peoble don't normally use agents to make paperwork. What paperwork is requered for a OA Visa and do you think I can prepare it myself?
Do any have a link with all the requerement?

Regards Carsten.
