Business Development Manager

Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon qualification and experience
Terms of Employment: Contract

Our client is a leading manufacturer of construction products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales:
    • Lead and implement the overall sales strategy of the company for the splice and construction accessories business.
    • Expand the network of rebar fabricators in line with the Company sales strategy and business plan to support sales growth objectives and ensure that the appropriate supply chain is in place for the targeted construction projects.
    • Visit periodically key accounts to support customer needs, enhance loyalty and identify new
      business opportunities.
    • Organize sales presentations to consultants and contractors involved in targeted projects, collect information about their needs and the project, propose appropriate technical and commercial solutions, aim to get the company specified and/or selected.
    • Prepare sales quotations and submission files in line with the Company policy and the environment of the project.
    • Support and coordinate the sales approaches with local sales force and management within the company affiliates with regular communications and visits. Determine action plans and ensure regular follow-up.
    • Report monthly about the Sales and Marketing activities, the status of the pending projects, and the short-term development objectives.
    • Consolidate sales forecasts and lead monthly reviews and updates in coordination with planning and logistic departments.
  • Marketing:
    • Define and propose marketing actions to support sales strategy, within the guidelines and budget of the company.
    • Track major international construction projects offering sales potential and consolidate the update of regional project lists on a monthly basis.
    • Organize technical seminars and exhibitions to promote the Company’s products and services, with the support of the Marketing team.

Requirements:
  • Age: 30-35 years old
  • Nationality: Any.
  • Education: Bachelor or Master’s Degree from a leading Business School or University. An additional diploma in Engineering (civil, mechanical or industrial) will be a plus.
  • Experience: At least five years’ experience in a business development / sales role involving technical products and/or services within an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinking.
  • Customer and service focused.
  • Results orientated and Team player.
  • Excellent command in English, both written and spoken.
  • Able to travel frequently all over the world.
  • Fluent in French is an asset
