Quiet Hotel Away from Beach

Featured Replies

A few years ago I'd often escape BKK for a few days at Shagwell Inn on Soi Arunothai, about a 10 minute motorbike ride from the beach. (Aussie owner came up with the name.) Then a very loud outside disco/bar opened and ruined it. Otherwise, it was perfect: quiet, around B600/night (~B800 high season?), adequately clean, b'fast included, wifi, TV, restaurant, small pool.

Anyone know a comparable place? Actually, that area has gotten much busier as a whole. I'd like to find an area that's like Arunothai was, say, 7 years ago (or quieter). I can go up to about B1000/night, but would prefer around B6-700. Even toward Jomtien or Naklua would be fine. Thx.

There are many, just ride around the small sois and look for signs, have a great time.

Or just cruise the Hotel web sites like Agoda, although it does seem most places under 1000 baht find it not really worth it to go onto these sites . .

Near Dolphin roundabout on or just off Naklua Pattaya Road, try Beach Resort, Sunshine Garden Resort, Peace Hotel. All have websites and are in your price range. All are quiet and about 10 minutes walk to the main beach , or 2 minutes on a motorbike. Good luck.

Leelawadee Lagoon. Soi AR. Close to Jamesons Irish pub and maybe 1km from the back end of Bic C North

A few years ago and you are still so poor ? :-)
