Laos trip for ED Visa with passport worry

Recommended Posts

I'm supposed to be going to Laos to get my ED visa next week but my passport is nearly out of space.

I have only two full pages and about three quarters of another.

This is a great concern to me as no one has been able to give me a clear answer as to whether it is enough

Sending off for a new passport is not really an option because it now takes 1-2 months to receive a British passport.

Do you think I can safely do the trip without issues or am I taking a risk in going to Laos for my ED with only that amount of space?

Thanks

You would probably be OK with the pages you have as long as they use the partial page for Thai departure and Lao entry stamps. You need a full page for the Lao and Thai visas.

But you will need to get your new passport applied for as soon as you get back because you will need space for the extension of stay stamp later.

I went to Cambodia for a new 30 day entry, they refused that and send me to immigration.

At the immigration office i payed 500 thb for one day over stay and get 7 days to stay in Thailand.

Now i am back in Holland with 3 overstay stamps in my pasport, can i enter Thailand again with those stamps or will i be refused at the airport ?

You would be better opening a new thread for your question, and mention the date on which you plan to return, and for how long.
