pitrevie
Does anyone have experience of the VOA at Vientiane International Airport. I assume that the VOA is available, can it be paid for in Thai baht? I hold a UK passport.
nottocus
It's easy...although can be some waiting. Thai Baht can be used. Don't forget a photo.

pitrevie
I will just add my own experience of arriving at the International airport in Vientiane. Visa application forms are handed out on the plane and only 1 photograph is required. Our plane wasn't that full so there wasn't much of a queue for the visa on arrival which took about 10 minutes at most before I proceeded to the immigration control. On my previous visit to the Laos embassy in Bangkok I paid 1600 baht for my visa with my UK passport, my German friend was charged 1400 baht. In Vientiane I paid 1400 baht so I am not sure why you pay more in Bangkok. There is a taxi booth in the arrivals hall and it cost 60,000 kip to the Ibis hotel in the center of Vientiane.
