Freelance Translators Wanted !

Featured Replies

Hello to you all,

I am looking to increase the number of freelance contacts for my employer, a publishing company based in Bangkok. We produce a range of weekly and monthly magazines in Thai, English and Japanese.

At the moment we are looking for additional freelancers who are capable of translating Thai stories into English. I don't think it's a good idea to post my email address here so anyone who is interested then please send me a message and I promise I will get back to you.

Many thanks,

Andy.

What are you paying for these services?

Hi again, and thanks to all those who sent me PMs.

In answer to the post above, I have only just joined the company and they have been paying in the region of 200 baht per A4 page (24 lines / 14pt in size). The current translation is not good and the company realises it will need to pay more to get a better quality of translation. I cannot guarantee a set level of work but, judging from my own experiences so far, there is the opportunity for someone to make some nice extra money, especially if they enjoy writing.

Thanks again ...

Andy.

Reasonable freelancer rates for translation start at 700 baht per page from what I know.
