peterb17
In the morning, I go around the house and garden, pushing the buttons on the controls I stole from the farang's house. Then I go to the fridge, watching the ants going around. After I listen to the mysterious sounds coming from my attic. Then I go to TVF to read which Thai lady cheated that innocent farang. Sometimes I go to Tesco to see if I can find that miserable git again. In the afternoon, I keep thinking, why am I here in Thailand? am I happy? How long have I been here? If I wasn't here where would I be? What has Thailand offered me? and other philosophical questions........ Finally in the evening, keep thinking, how well I know the Thais? do I follow Thai culture? Are Thais shorter or taller than farangs? Then take meditation and go exhausted to bed. Costas , sounds a pleasant and productive day. You have not managed to get rid of the ants in the fridge yet? flamesfan
great answers, not one mention of golf, and heres me thinking all you lucky people who dont have a farm play golf,, never mind,,lol jake Well Jake funny you mentioned that! I have a pretty good schedule! Monday - Get up 8:30- 9:00 AM , Grab a coffee at my restaurant downstairs! Get staff to make the second coffee a latte! Go back upstairs and check my affairs until 11:00 AM! After 2 coffee I am pretty much up!!! Have to go golfing at 12:00PM so I have 1 hour to chuck wow, shower, have breakfast and get to the course!! The last hour is especially taxing!! At 4:00PM finish golf and have 1 large Leo with my friends! Now it is 5:00PM and I have the clubs on the bike so do not indulge in any more drinks! At 6:00PM safely home (at the restaurant) and ready to have a meal! Order, then go shower and back downstairs to eat! I then come down and spend 3 hours downstairs wit staff and customers! Have a couple of Leo's, and try to say good nite to all by 11:00 - 11;30PM. Sleep till 8:30 - 9:00 AM. I do this 4 to 5 times a week at the present time. I lost 2 kgs last week! Walking the courses!!! The days I do not golf I shop and get massages!! Sometimes I do not know where the time goes!! Fish 3 times a month!! All in all some could say this is boring, but I have been here 4 years and I feel blessed! By the way I am a 24 handicap, and having the time of my life!! Tchooptip
do you walk the disbled dog or do you have to carry him/her,? and im not being fully, how many dogs do you have,? i love my dogs by the way, my dockie is never far from me no matter what im doing, in fatc he gets in the way sometimes, jake Walk him:), he has a wheel chair.I have total of 15 dogs. 1 disabled guy, 2 senior citizens and the rest are in their prime 15 dogs? Now all you need is your own soi. i would settle for my own seat Also, i have almost just as many cats Was not really a choice, all rescue. some found on the road after being hit by a car, some after being belted by a drunk , some were just in the middle of the road, etc. Would not recommend it for anyone, but in truth, would not give up any of them, as have bonded very strongly, especially with those who were between life and death. At the moment, fighting to save a little kitten, found in the back of the office, Appears someone kicked him really hard, back legs broken and i believe urinary tract also ripped. ....Respect... smotherb
What a thrill most of you must get out of life. I wake at the crack of noon, usually, sometimes later. A good long shower and scrub. The wife has fixed black coffee, papaya with lime and salt, and buttered whole wheat toast. Once or twice a week, I prefer steak or pork chop, eggs sunny-side up, fried potatoes, biscuits (skones to some of you), and coffee. Then it's off to my barber, a lovely lady who offers shave, shampoo, massage, and when needed, manicure, pedicure and haircut--all in an air-conditioned wifi enabled store-front where she serves my morning gin bloody mary or gin and grapefruit. So much for my happy beginning. Feeling fresh and awake, I either ride my Harley to meet with friends for a couple of cocktails and jaw-jacking, or do a round of golf supplemented by cocktails and jaw-jacking. Around 7pm, it's home to shower and take the wife out to dinner or have the son and daughter in-law over for dinner. My wife is an excellent cook, she specializes in Western foods, but is equally at ease with Asian delicacies. Afterward it's out for music, dance and libation. Most of the time around 10-11pm the wife goes home to bed and I continue clubbing with friends, the rest of the time I go home with her and work on my latest research project when she goes to bed. Either way, I get to bed about 3-4am. Enough for my happy ending. At least three times a year I travel to other countries in Southeast Asia visiting friends and family. Every two or three weeks I ride to one of my club's other chapters or to a brother club's site for a get-together poker run or fishing trip and party. Sometimes the wife goes with me. I don't do chores, I am far too old, retired, and can afford to have them done for me.

It wouldn't suit me though, personally, at least not at this stage. Too much scope and time to engage in things that I reserve for only a couple of hours per day - would have me in big trouble ! Mind you, when the time comes where I feel I can stop working then that sort of carry on might just suit me fine! I'm not jealous, it just gives me something to look forward to. In the meantime - you enjoy it pal !
