That's 60 days for Thailand.

The missus wants to go to Myanmar and I would like to get 60 days if possible (I'm currently on a tourist visa).

Can I apply for 60 days in Myanmar or will I have to go to Laos for that?

You can apply for a tourist visa at the Thai embassy in Yangon that will give a 60 day entry if that is what you are asking about.

Just to confirm - before I book the flight.

Do I submit application and pick up 60 day visa the following day - as in Vientiene?

Please let me know any other info as I have not done this in Myanmar before.

It is apply morning of one day and get it back the next afternoon.

You should plan your trip so you can be there early morning. I have seen a report of it being busy at times..
