Non Imm O Multiple Visa

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I currently have a Non Imm O Multiple visa on the basis of being married to a Thai.

The visa was obtained in Laos last year and is due to expire at the end of August this year.

I have been informed by numerous ex-Pats that if one leaves the country just prior to the expiration of the visa date, that 90 days will be granted thus making the visa in theory a 15 month visa.

With all the changes in Thai visas, border checks etc, I am looking for some advice as in should I go with the rumour and hope that I get 90 days and then do the renewal in November or should I just go for the renewal prior to the end date of the visa.

Many thanks in advance.

No changes regarding non-immigrant visas, so will not be a problem.

You do know that you have to leave the country every 90 days with your visa?

Hey thanks for the reply and information. Yes I am aware of the 90 day check outs !

It is certainly no rumor. It is how it works for all visas. The use before date is the last day you can use the visa to get an entry. It is not the longest period of time you can be in the country.

No rumour.

That is the way it is intended.

Do a border run just before it expires.
