positiveaction
Really?! As if there wasn't anything more important that people could put their energy/effort towards than a football (soccer) game. Besides isn't there a "World Cup" every year? FUHGETABOWIT!! (italian accent) Perhaps people should be devastated over their countries politics, minimum wages and so forth... YeBgsetc.... fortunately for you it sounds like you know nothing whatsoever about gambling or problem gambling and the steel hooks of addiction it places on people......you would find that losing 200,000 thb or 20 months salary to a bookie who will break their legs is a bit more of NOW importance than whether the interest rate goes from 0.5 > 0.75%

I set boundaries and have rules with how I live and guide my life. I don't gamble/donate/lend anything more than I wish to lose. As far as addictions though I don't necessarily understand the schematics of an addiction. If a person didn't introduce something to their body, (drugs, alcohol) then their body wouldn't have known/been/grown dependant on such. (addiction) In this case we are talking about gambling in which I assume the addiction is the euphoria or RUSH that a person feels when winning perhaps? That one RUSH is enough to cancel out 10+ losses? Whatever the case, I feel that Thai Police should concern themselves with other things rather than people who made irresponsible financial decisions and plan on behaving badly because of it. You are correct and I digress. I merely jumped as your previous post seemed to attack me and my "opinion"...

rlopes
Gambling shouldn't be taken lightly by people, it can actually destroy families and lives.
ableguy
I have no sympathy whatsoever for those that gamble. Have you ever known of a poor bookmaker or casino owner? Gambling is for mugs!!!! I saw a bookies shop in the UK, it had five windows for laying on bets and one window for paying out to winners, says it all
