Police Inspector-General says he might not sue Royal Thai Police Chief if the latter talk constructively with him

The Royal Thai Police's Inspector-General, Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temeeyawes, stated that if the Royal Thai Police Commissioner-General calls him in for a constructive discussion then he might not sue the latter.

Pol. Gen. Seripisut spoke on his preparations to sue Police Chief Kowit Watthana over the latter's signing of an order to change the members of the investigative team appointed by the inspector-general for investigating the Pau Pratunam (ปอ ประตูน้ำ) case. Pol. Gen. Seriphisut said this is not legitimate because the commissioner-general has no authority to change the order, and only the prime minister and the justice minister have such authority.

The Inspector-General said that should the commissioner-general call him in to talk constructively then he may decide not to file a law suit. He insisted to proceed according to the law and the facts, and said everyone must remain under the law.

In the meantime, the Royal Thai Police Chief, Pol. Gen. Kowit Watthana, only gave a short remark on the case when he said that seniors must have integrity and compassion. He said that ones who do good deeds will receive good consequences and ones who do badly will receive bad consequences.

This is an administrative matter.

How on earth could it be decided in an ordinary civil court?

The whole report sounds like two children squabbling in the playground.

It is a matter of principle, General Inspector-General, Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temeeyawes is an upright officer, he has been facing obstacle in fighting the influential underworld and those corrupt police officers. He do not cut corner just to please his superior or even the ministers and in fact offended many high ranking peoples, that why he never get promoted after all these year. According to my Thai friends, He is an upright police officer who upholds justice without fear.
