I seem to get chest pains when taking vitamins

Featured Replies

I've tested it a few times but notice that I get chest pains when taking vitamin tablets. As a teenager I took Roacuttaine for acne (20,000mg of vit A) foir 3 months. Then in 20's I took a multi vitamin for 5 years everyday and then after reading the label it said only take it max 3 months at a time.

Recently I took an iron tablet and felt weird pain in the chest. The same happens if I take vit B

This morning I forgot about this issue and drank a vitamin water from 7 eleven and it came back again

Obviously I need to remember and stop taking anything with vitamins in it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Why is this happening to me? Risks?

thanks

Chest pains can be caused by an allergic reaction to B9 and B12, not particularly common. Sheryl will be the best one to advise.,

my wife suggests it might be from body unable to excrete certain vitamins ie vit A.

im interested to see if any other esteemed members have the same symptoms.

Except Vitamin A is fat soluble whereas Vitamin B is water soluble, that would seem to make excretion an unlikely issue, but I'm just guessing now.
