nanapong
What would have happened to him in the eyes of the law if he had banged them both out with his fists in self defence I wonder? Probably end up a murder case cos the ladyboys would have got up and either knifed or shot him. Fortunately the observant Police would have seen what happened so the ladyboys would have got off with a 500bt fine pleading self defence m'lord.

Most like me will see it as a humorous comparison. The problems with ladyboys on beach road is well known , some of them are thieving scumbags. Only a lady boy lover would respond with such politically correct rubbish.
Popular Post Albertosez
At least it makes it clear that he was a tourist. I wonder if these tourists do actually get given any advice before they are freed of their belongings ? What I mean by this is - I wonder whether the girl at the hotel reception desk, the taxi driver, the fellow Aussie sat the bar, the girls serving the drinks, the girl that sits on his knee or just a Good Samaritan actually say to any of these tourists " be careful with that gold chain - you will become a target !" Would he have listened even if they had ? Are we programmed to only learn the hard way? At least he got his chain back - he was lucky !
masuk
Any self respecting Aussie bloke would not wear a necklace. Geeze cobber, what century are you living in? With his surname, he obviously is 1st or 2nd generation Aussie, as are so many Aussies. Almost all of us are 3rd or 4th generation, so don't knock a bloke just because he wears something different to the average brikky. If the PM can go to the beach in budgie smugglers, then a bloke can wear a bleedin' necklace on holidays in Thailand. The ladyboys deserve a swift boot where the sun don't shine!
bander
"The two Ladyboy’s admitted to conducting many necklace snatches in the past and would target foreigners who appeared to be drunk." Two busted, but what about the rest of the lady-boy scumbags who is assaulting and robbing foreigners on the beach road? This seems to be daily news in Pattaya, isn't it time the court take cases like this seriously and give them some real punishment instead of a slap on the wrist and 500 bath fine?

Friendly Stranger
The ladyboys were brave, as the guy looks sizable but it's good he decided not to slug them as he probably knows his innocence would have been tossed out once a punch is thrown. Luckily the police saw what they did and he lived to point, I mean tell about it.

Friendly Stranger
Look at the Aussie - he inconspicuously pointing at the perpetrators - he looks scarred to do it in an overt fashion Not to be a smartazz but I'd probably do the same as I wouldn't know what is the proper pointing ettiquette. I imagine the officers would tell him to point, thus would be the reason for the "do I point like this pose". Can't the report not have a caption or somewhere in the story that indicates person to the left or on the floor or indicated next to their names.

As it was reported that 2 ladyboys stole the necklace, rather than two ladies, the post is perfectably acceptable in this context - the inference that it is anti- trans gender is PC taken to extremes, IMO. Especially as it is a de facto crime committed - but heck we mustn't ruffle sensitivities, must we.

Why compare being touched by a transgender person to dying? When ladygirls commit robberies, do you see people dehumanizing them or comparing them to arachnids?

Women are often referred to as Black Widows specifically those women who marry and divorce repeatedly. Because of this, I actually see ezzra's post as a compliment to the ladyboy's efforts to be recognized as a true female and not a slight at all. Please don't make non-sensical comparisons and answer my question if you feel compelled to respond to my post: How is being touched by a transgender person like dying? And secondarily, how is such a comparison not hate speech? And so what if it is? I think it is time you accept the fact that many people hate ladyboys (in Pattaya) as they are generally considered a bunch of criminals, evidenced partly by the disproportionate amount of arrests for theft and other crimes.
Gillyflower
I can't see anything wrong with a man wearing a chain. You see it a lot everywhere. As for 1st to 4th generations. I knew many Australians 3rd and 4th generation with good German, Greek and Italian surnames.
