Wonderfull, just as the rainy season is about to swing into full gear. You just know it's going to take months to complete a job that would be finished in days in other places.

Danger on the South Pattaya Road as construction work leaves 2 meter deep holes in the road.

One of our intrepid reporters here at Pattaya City News spotted this on the South Pattaya Road close to Big C and the Sukumvit Road and decided it needed to be brought to your attention. These shots were taken on Tuesday afternoon, but the real danger aspect to this occurs when the sun goes down. As you can see large holes have been left totally exposed on the road with minimal signage to warn drivers about the impending danger. Some of the holes are at least 3 meters deep and we spotted fresh blood stains on the road. We spoke with local residents who told us that a motorbike taxi driver had fallen into a hole and had already been taken to hospital. If you find yourself driving along the South Pattaya Road, please drive slowly and be aware of these road works. We have today sent a copy of this report to the Mayor’s office at Pattaya City Hall in an attempt to highlight this problem.
