Official informations about when to denie a return with TV?

Featured Replies

Hey together,

are there any official informations about when to denie a return?

For me it sounds like it depends on the actual mood of the official.

No information is available.

They look t if you continuously stay in Thailand on visa exempt entries and tourist visas. What the actual criteria are is not known.

Nobody knows.

You should know that the longer you stay out of Thailand the more it will increase your chances of not being denied. Even then there are no guarantees.

You can no longer stay here long term on back-to-back tourist visas and except stamps and no provision exists yet for serial or long term tourists other than the Thailand Elite card's PE visa, or studying with a Non-Immigrant ED visa.

Thanks for your replies, really, but "what will happen, maybe, under this and that circumstances" is not very interesting (for me). I opened this new thread because an official statement would be very interesting in this forest of presumptions.

Believe me 99.9% of people who write here telling you what to do don't know themselves. They are know alls that know nothing. Wait and see or call to immigration Changwattana they are very good on the phone with advice. "Point final" from me.

You really didn't need to start a new thread for this information. The information hasn't been announced yet. If you haven't done so already, you should sign up for email notifications from Thai Visa. Those notifications include all kinds of information. One of the key features of the emails you will get is "Breaking News". So, you just need to wait like the rest of us. Believe me, there are plenty of people who want to have this information as well. Their desire, however pressing or urgent it might be, doesn't necessitate an emergency or any kind of call-to-action on behalf of the government (military) officials who would release such a statement. You can create a new post every single day asking the same question. At best, you are only going to get speculative answers until such an official announcement is made.

Sign up for the notifications. As soon as it is released, I am certain it will be put into a thread and disseminated to the members of ThaiVisa who have subscribed to the services as quickly as possible as "Breaking News". In all likelihood, it will be the subject line of the email considering the importance of the subject matter. I am certain that an announcement will come on ThaiVisa long before you are ever going to find it on any official website from the relevant authorities.

That's the bottom line. You need to wait like everyone else. You are no more entitled to the information than anyone else.

Of course, you should have known this already. I am just posting in the off chance you might not know. It may also be the case that a more casual "browser" passing through might read this and wonder the same thing.

There are no answers. Personally, I don't believe we are going to have definitive, concrete answers for quite a while. The best you can do now is continue to read the reports about what is happening in different regions regarding the situation. Wait for D-Day. Then, we will be flooded with posts. After the smoke has settled, someone might make an official announcement to clarify the rules. In my opinion, they don't even know the criteria yet, as it has probably yet to be established. They decided to put an end to visa runs. That's what they did. They probably didn't give much thought into the long-term ramifications of this action. They most certainly did not set up a set of guidelines or framework that should be followed by immigration officials nationwide. Right now, there are very big differences between experiences at borders in the South vs. North vs. East ....

I am not sure what you hope to gain, but you are asking for something that doesn't exist. Do you want ThaiVisa or one of its esteemed members to call up the general and ask him what guidelines he has in mind for the future of this crackdown when it comes into full force on the 12th of August? I'd be happy to do it for you; however, I seem to have misplaced his number. Do you think you might be able to give it to me?

What a strange and uncalled for rant to a person who simply asked if there had been any official announcement -- in other words, he used the forum for the purpose it was meant. Answers to everything can be found in other places and by doing searches but a large purpose of the forum is to interact and share information on a personal level and often first hand level.

Wow, didn't expect that.

Like JohnThailandJohn mentioned, I just wanted to know what is officially going on. I had the feeling that I maybe don't read an official post in between all of those other posts. Thats why I made these one. Just to get the information if there is any official information ;) A simple "no" would have been my favorite answer, but you gave your very best to confuse me and give me good hints and clues how this site works in a veeeery long post at once.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Too all others: Thank you for your information. I hope it will be clear soon. :)
