to me it looks like the op.wants a guard dog,one of great size to frighten off portenial tresspassers, well here in Thailand if you had a bear it wouldn't stop them tossing a lump of poisoned meat to them.

do yourself a favour and the dog get a BAN-KAEWw00t.gif

I totally agree with your post, but if they are breed here and the OP is willing to give them a proper home knowing full well the limitations of the breed then so be it. The puppies will definetly be better off in and air con enviorment ala your Avatar which has disappeared - hope he's still well and just a avatar glitch!

meatboy thats not quite true. we have a d'bordeax breeder here in jerusalem and his dogs have absolutely no problem, as a matter of fact several are working dogs which means that they are able to mvoe around in desert heat... i think it depends on the line of the breed. just like my two (now dead of other diseases) boxers: one from finland who did indeed suffer from the heat as he had a european squishy face; and nala the desert boxer, with a longer snout, israeli army bred, and she had now problems what so over.

my lhasas have no problems but they have longer snouts then foreign lhasas.

and the south african dog is from south africa, not a cool climate at all.

sorry bina but Jerusalem is not Thailand, its there for all to read [wikipedier] that they have breathing problems caused by the heat, also they need plenty of exercise, also they need an experienced owners of this breed,so unless the op.replies to the posts made it will seem that I want a big one is his goal.
