Non Imm O for owning a condo.

Featured Replies

I have just been told that Sydney are handing out non imm O's to anyone that asks for them, who owns a condo here.

I dont mean the investor class and 3m (old rules) or 10 mill currently that bought a condo and moved the assets in.. Apparently the person who told it to me simply goes in, pays 225 dollars, 2 photos and a shows his chanote copy. No further questions asked and has done this for many years.

The discussion went on because he feels this is a totally legit visa and thinks everyone everywhere (who buys a condo) can get it. I am convinced that while he might have been issued them, its only because Sydney is being soft with the rules ??

Is this common ??

Is sydney the only one currently soft ??

Interesting..... yet hard to believe

Needed now more than ever as many will need to sell their condos if caught in the harsh visa runner crackdown. I fear many with major assets here will be kicked out and hurt badly.

He absolutely for sure has been and continues to get them.. Last one was April this year and doing it for many years.

Non imm O

I have read about Brisbane doing them but not Sydney.

Non imm O

Possibly eligibility grandfathered in from previous rules?

But he is not doing the investor visa route.. Theres no money trail FETF or showing the investment side..

Simply chanote for condo = visa.

He is firm that its a legit visa, hence our disagreement.. But the fact of the matter is, he has his visa.

Yes, Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Vladivostok (Russia) freely issued yearly NON-O visas for condo owners.

This practice worked many years until june 2557. But, currently, they are not issuing NON-O visas for condo owners.

I used to get an O visa for 'visiting friends' from Hull which was great while it lasted.

I suspect everything will change for everyone this year.

That was exactly the answer I gave him as to the difference between a legit visa and one from an easy consul..

His answer is he goes to the embassy and thats what they give him makes it legit.

I was surprised tho as I had never heard of embassys giving them simply for owning a condo, sure the investor visa, but not simply owning any old condo.
