one way ticket with multi entry tourist visa nowdays

Featured Replies

hi all i will be coming to thailand very soon , can i still enter thailand via airport with a one way ticket with a 3 entry visa without any problems?

and can i even enter thailand 3 times with the multi entry tourist visa with the new rules?

i should mention that i never did tourist visa runs before in thailand.

Yes, and yes. There no new rules.

Back-to-back entries with a triple-entry tourist visa can currently be a problem at some land border crossings in the south. It remains to be seen how other entry checkpoints will handle it after 12 August 2014. Having a travel itinerary on hand can be useful.

so if i have never done a visa run in thailand before i might not be able enter thailand 3 times even though i have a 3 entry tourist visa?

Only possibly a problem at land borders in the South, without a travel itinerary on hand

The reported cases in the south were primarily those with multiple visa exempt entries and tourist visas. I would not be concerned about using your 3 entry visa since you have no previous history.

I just had a call with the consulate in my home country, they wanted to see a flight reservation, as well as a hotel reservation.

As I buy usually tickets from BKK, I have to book a new one. Cancellation fees on Thai is affordable with 2000 bath.
