If anyone else is considered purchasing a hotel or senior housing facility, are these considered as businesses or real estate in Thailand?

If for purposes of tax then land tax is the same on sale if determined to be for a biz purpose.

If regulations wise - weekly and longer rental contracts are not hotel biz and largely unregulated apart from basic building codes.

While daily falls under hotel definition and has a load more regulations to consider/ meet.

All This I have been told by two independent lawyers just earlier this month in regards to different projects I have on the go.
