Dutchiebangkok
I caught these two beautiful fish on the river Kwai last weekend. Does anyone know what fish they are?
jim hayes
Hi, I am not an expert but I think the top photo is a Java Barb also called a Silver Barb ( Thai name Pla Tapien Kao ) and the other is a Black Shark Minnow also called a Black Shark Carp ( Thai name Pla Ka ). Well done for catching these lovely fish.
jackinbkk
Nice fish. There was a lake I used to live near that had lots of those black fish. You'd just see their fins breaking the surface every now and again in a split second if there was something to eat. You'd never actually see the fish itself. Lucky2
The first fish is actually a Golden Belly Barb (Pla Tapak) very common in the River Kwai
