Hi,

I am a UK citizen and have been in Thailand on a triple entry visa since November. This is valid until end of this month. I have income from the UK so am not here to work illegally. My intention was to return home, apply for another triple entry visa and return to Thailand prior to August 12th. Is this going to be possible? I was intending to email The Thai consulate in the UK but I would imagine information from within Thailand to be more accurate. I realise this is a common topic on here but with so many posts, I have found it quite difficult to see the information clearly.

There is no problem, before or after August 12th.

If you prefer, you could even obtain a double entry Visa in Laos or Myanmar.

Thank you for such a swift reply. IT sounds as if I could go ahead with my plans then, can I assume then, that all the disussion regarding Visa's simply concerns those people who simply arrive having purchased no Visa, and then do a 5 minute "visa run" to extend their stay indefinitely (until 30 days later). My worry was that I wanted to leave some things (like my guitar!) here only to find that I could not obtain a Visa once back in England - or worse case scenario - pay for a flight to Enlgand, then buy a new Visa and return flight to Thailand, only to be turned away at BKK (and then obviously another flight back to the UK!)

Actually there is no credible report of anybody being refused entry except some visa runners at land borders in the South, and that was few days ago already.
