Multi entry non Immigrant O....any problems?

Featured Replies

Got a multi entry non imm O based on thai marriage plus child.....3 monthly "run" coming up. I also have 2 tourist visas from 2011 and 2012 in my passport. Any advice as to whether or not that may be a problem coming back into Thailand and is there any requirement to show funds at the border? Thanks.

Unless you plan on bringing back a substantial amount of class A drugs, I got a feeling you should be ok !!

No indication so far that you will have a problem with back-to-back non-O visa entries, except perhaps at some land borders in the south of Thailand, where a member recently ran into difficulties when doing a border run with a multiple-entry non-B visa.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I just did my 90 day in/out last week. Zero issues.

The whole in/out crackdown thing is for people who are abusing TOURIST visas, not those of us with proper non-immigrant visas.

Not wanting to be a scaremonger but under the current circumstances I would highly recommend having funds - it is one of the fixed requirements.

If you are averse to carrying cash, traveler cheques are the best option. You can show funds in a Thai bank but your book or statement must be updated the same day.

Expect questions about working in Thailand as well.

This is my experience at Sadao, using multiple non-o in March.

It is always better to be over-prepared, when dealing with immigration.
